Welcome to Lancaster Steiner School

The Lancaster Steiner School is a beautiful small village school, located close to the Lancaster City Centre, a few minutes walk from the Railway Station.

Lucy's beautiful flowersThe school has 50 children and brings out the unique abilities of each and every child. We aim to educate in a way that develops a love for beauty and truth and equip the child to seek and find their own place in the world.

We have just been inspected by Ofsted. Please click here to read the report or visit www.ofsted.gov.uk for more information.

The school is offering quality holistic education through Rainbow Toddlers, Cherry Trees Kindergarten, The Afternoon Club and the Main School:

Rainbow Toddlers is a parent led group for children 0 to 3 that meets Mondays and Fridays at Friends Meeting House in Lancaster 10am-12pm.

Cherry Trees Kindergarten is hosted in the school building and provides beautiful education for children 3 to 6. Sessions every weekday 8.45am to 12.45pm.

The Afternoon Club provides care for children of the same age between 12:45pm and 3.15pm.

The Main School starts the year the child turns seven and continues up to at least end of primary school. The Steiner School puts a lot of effort into being able to soon provide a second kindergarten and education up to the age of 14.

Child Show Lancaster Steiner School is a parent supported school that celebrates a number of yearly festivities and organises fairs every year: an advent fair and this year a Complementary Health Fair at Lancaster Town Hall.

The school has a variety of work groups and offers adult education. It has a School Shop selling Steiner toys, materials, books and more .

Here are a few quotes from our parents:

"We choose Steiner Education as we wanted our child to have a more all-round education, with equal focus on arts, practical skills and theoretical knowledge - and to foster problem solving abilities."

"I wanted to put my child in an environment where they would be nurtured and could grow in confidence and would learn to feel a valued member of the community. I could only find this at the Steiner School".

We currently have vacancies in all classes including Kindergarten.
