We are a small, friendly school which brings out the unique abilities of each and every child. We aim to educate in a way that develops a love for beauty and truth and equip the child to seek and find their own place in the world.

We are currently applying for free school status and are undertaking a survey to measure support for a state funded Steiner Primary School to open in the Lancaster area in 2014.
We would like to make our school state-funded in order to make Steiner Education available for all children regardless of economic background. It will have 6 classes catering for children aged 3-11 years.
Our plans include:
- class sizes of a maximum of 20 pupils,
- a broad and balanced curriculum building on the established
Steiner curriculum in order to fully prepare pupils for
high school transition,
- a 'green', environmentally responsible education,
- starting formal learning at 6 as recommended by the
independently funded Cambridge Primary Review (2009) undertaken
by Cambridge University,
- equal emphasis and importance is placed on the social,
emotional, and educational development of the child,
- we intend for this new school to offer arrangements
for flexi-schooling and access to a learning hub for home-schooled
children.
If you are interested in this as an option, please leave a note next to your name/ email address so we can involve you in the consultation process for developing this option.
Please take the time to follow the link below, to fill in our survey, to show your support for this project:

Here are a few quotes from our parents:
"We choose Steiner Education as we wanted our child to have a more all-round education, with equal focus on arts, practical skills and theoretical knowledge - and to foster problem solving abilities."
"I wanted to put my child in an environment where they would be nurtured and could grow in confidence and would learn to feel a valued member of the community. I could only find this at the Steiner School".
We currently have vacancies in all classes including Kindergarten.
