Well the adventure continues in the playground we know have plants and shrubs, trees and even grass. We have had quite a journey which has involved a rill, sheds and fences and moving of a lot of soil.
A rill is a very interesting bit of fun, you poor water down it and it flows and of course the children love it. So how did we do it? It all starts with digging out the arranged shape. This is dug to a depth of at least a 12-15 iches and then filled with quarry bottoms and concrete. You then leave it to go hard. The finish requires a much smoother sand and cement mix and stones added for effect. It all probably sounds boring but that is how it is done.
The sheds came as kits and required bases which involved flags and stone chipping and of course a lot of digging. Digging and lots of digging have been carried out whilst working in the playgound this has led to new soil and recycled and as you have all probably noticed that green stuff grass!
Very soon the new climbing frame will be errected and more grass will be layed and before you know it our children will be having even more fun, roll on summer I say!
Hope you found this interesting, look forward to the next update.
Thankyou
